First, please introduce yourself!!
Hello! Nǐ Hǎo~ I’m Miho! I came from Japan and I’m a 19-year-old student. My hobbies are walking and looking for fancy dessert stores! In my opinion, Chinese/Mandarin is a useful language so I came to Taiwan for studying Chinese. The thing I like most here are delicious Taiwanese food and friendly Taiwanese people! I’m preparing for the Taiwanese college entrance examination now. Fight~!
The company offers a safe environment for tenants here
Why did you choose Borderless Share House?
Before coming to Taiwan, my mother found Borderless House on the Internet when I was in Japan. Owing to the concept of Borderless House which written in the web site that makes me and my mom identify with it very much and decided to move in to Borderless House. Also the company offers a safe environment for tenants here. In addition, I can’t speak Chinese in the beginning and the staff who can speak Japanese that makes me feel at ease and helped me a lot. I have stayed here for almost 9 months!
A housemate has changed my image of his country!
Before moving in Borderless House, what is your imagination or expectation of staying in Borderless House? After staying in Borderless House for a while, is the real life here in accord with your imagination or expectation?
The image of Borderless House for me is just like I can have a family when I’m abroad. I was thinking that me and my housemates would travel around、go to movies、chat with each other every day. After staying here, the real life is just quite like what I imagined before. I met a lot of people from different countries and different kinds of people! For instance, I wasn’t interested in France before until I met my French housemate. I remember that we went to the book store and he introduced France to me and taught me France.
After that, the romantic feeling makes me fall in love with France and I became intrigued with French culture. And there is another thing which I haven’t thought before is that there are some rules in a share house. For example, we have common fund to purchase consumable goods and we take turns to do the cleaning duties.
The most unforgettable thing was every time when my housemates are going to leave Taiwan and go back to their hometown
What was the best part and the most impressive thing that happened during your stay in Borderless House?
The best thing that happened when I stay in Borderless House is, there’s one time that we made our own home food together with housemates who come from Taiwan, Japan, Korea and France. We cooked and had dinner together! We had different eating habit and the type of cuisine. Because of that, we could do culture exchange. That was the happiest thing here. The most unforgettable thing was every time when my housemates are going to leave Taiwan and go back to their hometown, I definitely will cry!!
Because some of them are from France or German where are very far from Taiwan or Japan. I don't know if we would meet each other again, and I really hate flying (laugh). We get along with everyone every day, hang out together and share happy or unhappy things. I felt like I was going to separate with my family.
When we face some problem caused by different living habits, we would discuss with each other and find a good way to solve
On the other hand, is there anything which is difficult or tough for you to live in Borderless share house?
There’s nothing difficult or tough for me so far. My housemates are nice and friendly, so the life here is easier. For example, when we face some problem caused by different living habits, we would discuss with each other and find a good way to solve. Every housemate is considerate so I don’t have any problem when I stay in Borderless House. I’m lucky^^
I felt that I had mothers in Taiwan
Are you satisfied with your life in Borderless House so far? Do you learn anything from here?
I'm satisfied with my life here! Because I'm the youngest girl in this house, everyone treat me as their sister or daughter. I felt that I had mothers in Taiwan, because they took good care of me. They taught me how to apply makeup and we shopping a lot together. When I came back home late, they would text me and worried about me every time. Language is the major thing that I have learned during my stay here, I make great progress in speaking in Chinese and English! Sometimes, I had to speak in English when I met my housemates who couldn’t speak Chinese or Japanese. Although my English is not good, we still could understand each other by just simple words or body language!
Everyone should in coordination with each other and have mutual understanding
Finally, what would you like to tell those who are thinking about moving in Borderless House?
You can meet people from all over the world here, therefore, if you want to improve your language skills, I recommend you to stay in Borderless House! However, if you are caring about your sleeping time and the clean and tidy in the house, you should probably consider more detailed things before moving in to a share house. Since living in a share house, everyone should in coordination with each other and have mutual understanding in order to make every tenant’s life easier and happy.
